Duplicate website for editing

Is it possible to duplicate my website for editing while the current website remains published? I need to do major work on my site to make it "mobile friendly" but I don't want to take down the current site for that long. Is it possible to duplicate the site, do all the editing and upgrades on the unpublished site, and then "swap-out" the new with the old?

Hello,

You can't duplicate the site as a whole, but you can create a new site and recreate your current site with whatever changes you want to make, then switch your domain to the new site once you're done.

Can I copy and paste pages from my current site into the one to be edited, or do I have to start from scratch?

I don't know how to copy an entire page. Should I have two tabs open, one for the current site and one for the one to be edited? I can duplicate a page within the same website, but how do I move it to another site?

@christopher8647 HOW TO DUPLICATE A PAGE:
Select the page you want to duplicate > Select "Save As" rather than "Save" > Record the new page name for the duplicate.

How does this work in a new website template, though? Duplicating a page within the same site is easy, but how do I move it to a new site?
